Good day and welcome to my personal Web site, a hopefully interesting detour on the information superhighway. I trained as an economist in the United States (UCSD and Purdue) and the United Kingdom (LSE) and have enjoyed a long career in government, banking and finance. Most recently, however, I've returned from a year-long sabbatical in Africa engaged in paleoanthropological field work, training and research in a semi-desert region noted as the "Cradle of Humankind" and back in the laboratory in Nairobi, Kenya. Navigate to the "Science" > "Paleoanthropology & Paleontology" section for more information about my work. Searching for and indeed discovering fossils of hominins (i.e. members of the animal tribe comprising the genus Homo, including its only surviving species Homo sapiens, and all extinct ancestors of that genus) as well as other extinct fauna is not only great fun but adds to our understanding of what it means to be human. I'm currently Chief Visualization Officer of VisRules LLC, a for-profit social enterprise founded on the premise that the world does not need more laws, regulations and other types of rules but better understood and accepted ones.

If you have stumbled on this site in search of its owner, you're in the right place. As result of frequent relocations especially in my earlier years, I may have lost contact with quite a few. Get in touch with me.
