Good day and welcome to the Bigger Site, my public Web site since 1992, now in its 7th design incarnation.

Whereas the purpose of my Web site, and indeed of almost all other Web sites on the planet, is the outstanding idea of self-promotion, I do aspire for this site also to serve as a means to deliver some useful information and services of special interest to certain groups of people. In the past, this has included information on the omnibus order for research spectrographs organized by me under the patronage of the Swiss Astronomical Society. In the current, this includes the fast message broadcast service for active amateur astronomers in the Greater Zurich area and commentaries on the financial regulatory environment.
